Rain has now overspread about the western 1/3 of Alabama. At 6:30 pm, the leading eastern edge of the rain was along the Decatur-Jasper-Centreville-Camden line and into South Central Alabama. Some of it was edging into West Jefferson County.

The heaviest rain was over West Central and SW Alabama…mainly in Choctaw, Sumter, Greene, Pickens and Lamar County.

The rain was moving NNE. However, the whole wet-weather system was slowly working its way eastward. Some amounts so far:

0.03 at Taylorville (south of Tuscaloosa)
0.40 at Muscle Shoals
0.04 at Tuscaloosa Airport
0.88 at Mobile Airport
0.54 at Brookley Field, Mobile

0.85 at McComb
