Storms in the Anniston/Oxford area are growing in intensity.
The NWS has issued a significant weather alert for Calhoun and Cleburne Counties.
They could produce strong, gusty winds to 40-50 mph. Some small hail is likely just northeast and east of Anniston. Be alert for dangerous lightning and brief heavy rain as well.
