Looking at the big picture as we approach 6:45…
A few heavy showers right now…
…one over northern Clay County
…one over Tallapoosa County
…one over northern Shelby County south of Leeds
…lighter showers over Hale, Bibb and Chilton Counties
…a dying shower near West Jefferson
A single stronger storm was over northern Jefferson County. It was between Cardiff and Mt. Olive. This cell will rain itself out shortly.
Everything is still moving southeastward.
As we look upstream in the northwesterly flow, no real disturbances are headed our way, so we could be heading for a calm night. Lows will be in the upper 60s to near 70F for the most part.
