This is an extremely life-threatening situation. Strong storm surge combined with excessive rainfall has led to these conditions. Avoid flooded areas. This emergency warning will be in effect until 2:30AM EDT (1:30AM CDT).

A strong, dry cold front pushed through Alabama yesterday, and much cooler drier air been filtering into the state throughout the night. This weekend will feature highs and lows quite seasonable for this time of year with elevated winds today.
