The Storm Prediction Center just issued their new outlook for today and there are significant changes as far as Alabama is concerned. Their new “slight risk” extends from about Clanton, Montgomery and Evergreen east and northeast into Georgia and both Carolinas. Almost all of North Carolina is included.
This means that most of North and West Alabama is not included.
Caution: That does not negate the current watch in Alabama although it may not last until the posted 10 am expiration. The NWS in Jackson has issued 10 Tornado Warnings since 3 am, most of them downstate.
