Our upper low is wobbling around northeast Alabama tonight. An area of moderate to heavy rain has developed on the back side of the low. It extends from Ashville in St. Clair County eastward across southern Blount County to near Locust Fork, Hayden and Smoke Rise.
This activity will be rotating southeastward across northeastern Jefferson and much of St. Clair Counties over the next 90 minutes.
Rainfall rates may approach one quarter inch per hour.
Indications are that we could see another round of showers tomorrow, possibly during the morning and early afternoon as the low continues to rotate around the area. Lows tonight will be in the 40s. Highs tomorrow will be limited to the 50s due to the clouds and showers.
