The tornado warning for Jefferson County has expired.
There is significant damage in Bessemer along Oak Street and at Highway 150 near Carolina Avenue. An apartment building has been damaged. UAB West Hospital was hit.
The tornado has weakened. We will be looking for any redevelopment.
There is significant damage in Kimberly and Morris in northern Jefferson County. There is significant damage to the North Jefferson Middle School.
Elsewhere, a tornado warning continues for parts of Blount and Etowah Counties. This storm caused damage in Oneonta.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect for Chilton as well as parts of Autauga, Marengo, Elmore, Lowndes, Dallas and Perry.
Organization has decreased overall in the storms. Things have already wound down over Northwest Alabama.
