Cuba VFD reports many trees down in the Geiger area…probably tornado.
Don’t want to scare anyone or overhype a storm, but the one in northern Greene County has the potential to be producing a large, violent tornado. It is the first storm James has seen hit a 10 out of 10 on our radar system’s BTI index…
It is just north of Gainesville…
It is going to move somewhere between Union and Eutaw…then to near Akron or Moundville…
Knoxville and Fosters will be potentially in the path…
It should stay just south of Tuscaloosa but will be close enough to be a problem.
We have seen a photo from Renny Vandewge that showed an incredible tornado on the ground earlier in Kemper Co. Mississippi. It may still be on the ground.
