A north-south zone of showers was approaching West Alabama late this afternoon.
At 4:30 pm, they were mostly over East and SE Mississippi moving toward the ENE. This included a small cluster of thunderstorms over North Central Mississippi. There were also some thunderstorms over Extreme South Mississippi.
Some moderate to heavy showers will be affecting some west and NW Alabama counties during the next several hours.
This is not the main action for Alabama. That comes tomorrow.
We have received no confirmed reports of damage in connection with the Tornado Watch that covered much of South Louisiana this afternoon.
