Showers and some thunderstorms over part of West Alabama have increased and some are dumping very heavy rain. The showers and storms extend from Fayette and Walker County southward across Tuscaloosa, Pickens, Greene and Hale County. Moving toward the west and southwest
Over on the east side of the state a north-south line of showers and storms was along the Georgia-Alabama border. Dumping very heavy rain. The line of storms was moving toward the southwest. They will be moving across Cherokee, Etowah, Calhoun, Cleburne, Randolph, and Clay County in the next few hours. These storms could reach the Birmingham area later. .
