A line of thunderstorms that developed across Arkansas and Louisiana this afternoon moved eastward. There were several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings issued in Mississippi.
However, the storms began to decrease in strength by late afternoon and early evening.
Late tonight (very late) that line of showers (no longer thunderstorms) had moved into extreme West Alabama from the Florence-Muscle Shoals area in the far NW southward to Tuscaloosa, Moundville and Greensboro.
Now, we look to the northwest again where a group of thunderstorms was located over South Missouri into Central Arkansas and moving toward the southeast.
These are ahead of another cool front which will bring another dose of excellent autumn weather to Alabama this weekend. There will be some scattered showers and storms tomorrow (Thursday)
After that, great comfortable weather for Friday through Monday with cool nights, comfortable days and much lower humidity.
Have you noticed a “speedup” of autumn color just in the last few days? Cheers!
