We are going through a major pattern change in the southeastern U. S. The upper level trough that has brought cold fronts in here most of the time since December is starting to move out, and is being replaced by an upper level ridge. That means the cold air will mainly be locked in Canada, and no big time cold fronts in Alabama the next 7 days! A weak cold front may bring us a few showers late next week, but for the most part, expect sunshine and warming temperatures.
TODAY: Plenty of sunshine, still a little chilly with a high in the mid 50s.
TONIGHT: Another freeze, but not as cold as it has been lately, with lows 25 to 32.
SUNDAY: Beautiful weather with sunny skies and a high in the mid 60s.
EARLY NEXT WEEK: Sunshine and a slow warmup, with lows in the 30s and highs in the 60s.
LATE NEXT WEEK: A few clouds and showers are possible, but it should be dry most of the time, with highs maybe approaching 70, and lows 35 to 45.
Have a great weekend!
