A band of rain continues a slow progress eastward across Northwest Alabama at this hour. At 9:10 am, the leading eastern edge was from near Decatur to Double Springs, Jasper, Fayette, to west of Tuscaloosa and into Pickens County
The precipitation is light to moderate and has actually weakened somewhat.
No lightening involved according to lightening detection network.
The precipitation should work its way eastward as far as Birmingham by around 11 am
