Thanks to ABC 33/40 Skywatcher Vic Bell for these images… he writes…
“I took these pics today on Lookout Mt following the big storm 2 days ago. The green house with 3 trees on it was on Lay Springs Rd. The other pictures were all taken at one place near the 13 mile mark of Tabor Rd. The guy that owns this house was mighty lucky as 39 huge pine tress were felled all around it and the house didn’t get a scratch. The outbuilding wasn’t so lucky. Some of these trees also fell across Tabor Rd bringing power lines down. This was the most damaged place on the mountain, but I think all the 3 main roads running up the mountains and the many cross roads running east-west all had trees and power lines down. It took all 3 fire departments more than 9 hours to clear the roads. If you saw pics in the Gadsden Times, they incorrectly identified the area as the Tabor Community which is 3 miles down Tabor Rd and had little if any damage. All the damage was in the Black Creek/Scrougeout area.”
