FEMA and the FCC will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alerts tomorrow. The WEA portion of the test will be sent to cell phones at 1:18 pm CDT. The EAS portion of the test will be sent to radio and television at 1:20 pm CDT.
We at AlabamaWx strongly encourage you to leave WEA alerts enabled on your phone; in Alabama you get tornado warnings, flash flood warnings, and amber alerts.
