* At 3:12 this afternoon, one mile south of Russellville, a bolt of lightning hit a power line at a nearby motel. The electrical surge caused a minor injury. A woman was transported to a hospital.
* A trained storm spotter at Phil Campbell, in Franklin County reported marble size hail (1/2 inch diameter) at 3:38 pm
* NWS/Birmingham issued a Significant Weather Advisory for Central Fayette County until 4:15 pm and for Western Walker and Eastern Fayette County until 4:30 om
