Splendid spring weather continues to highlight our forecast for this last weekend of April. A dry air mass is in place across the state and this is allowing for a chamber of commerce day of weather across all of Alabama.
We are seeing sunshine in full supply this afternoon and that has allowed temperatures to climb into the upper 70s and lower 80s across the area. For tonight, clouds will increase across northern portions of the state with the approach of a weak frontal boundary. A few spotty showers are certainly possible for northern portions of the state, but with limited moisture, any rain should not amount too much. Lows tonight will generally be in the lower to mid 50s across the state.
SUNDAY SHOWER?: The weak front will continue to sink slowly into North Alabama tomorrow, but it will lose its forward momentum and should stay north of the I-20 corridor. There will still be limited moisture to work with so only a very small chance of a shower or two will be possible during the morning and maybe into the early afternoon hours, but any rain out there will be light and spotty. By the afternoon hours, rain chances will have diminished for the day and the rest of the day will feature a mix of sun and clouds; highs tomorrow will range from the upper 70s to the mid-80s across the area.
LEFT TURNS ONLY: No weather issues the rest of today out at Talladega. Sunny conditions will continue with temperatures in the 70s. For tomorrow, expect a mix of sun and clouds, with an outside chance of a shower early, but rain chances are less than 10%. Highs tomorrow in East Alabama should be right around 80 degrees. You will certainly want to take the sunscreen if you are heading out to the speedway this weekend.
