NWS Huntsville has extended the Wind Advisory for all North Alabama counties to expire at 12:00 am Friday.
There is the potential of a wake low developing on the back side of the rain shield as it moves through the area later tonight. Radar returns over northern Mississippi are showing stronger wind velocities mixing down to the surface and the development of a wake low could be starting.
Corinth, Mississippi reported a wind gust of 41 MPH at 4:49 pm, very close to where the wake low was believed to be developing.
A Wind Advisory continues for much of Central Alabama until 12:00 am Friday as well.
