At 9:55 pm, the first line of storms continues to move through the central and the east-central parts of Central Alabama but continues to be below severe limits. With that being said, there is plenty of lightning and heavy rainfall occurring with the MCS, and some reports of small hail falling as well.

Another round of storms is located back to the west over northwest and west-central parts of Mississippi and will be moving into the area after the midnight hour. While the severe weather threat is expected to end for the area at midnight, I wouldn’t be surprised if some strong winds and small hail will occur.

All of this activity will be moving to the northeast and stay north of the I-20 corridor throughout the overnight hours. It may be a noisy night but we probably won’t have to worry about severe storms.

Instability has really dropped off where there is rain-cooled air, so severe weather is not likely over those areas.
