Showers and storms are scattered across Central Alabama this afternoon.
None of them are severe at this time.
The heaviest ones are over Bibb and Perry Counties, north of Maplesville and east of Marion. These storms probably have hail as well as strong gusty winds as well as heavy rain and dangerous lightning.
Others are over Blount County near Oneonta and over Tallapoosa County. Everything is moving east southeast at 20-25 mph.
Severe thunderstorm watches continues for much of Central and South Alabama through much of the evening.
Additional storms were firing from Central Mississippi back into southern Arkansas. These storms will push across Central Alabama tonight. There is a chance of severe weather with them as well.
