The Tornado Watch has been cancelled for Cullman and Jackson counties in North Alabama. The watch continues until 6:00 AM CST for Dekalb and Marshall counties in North Alabama, and Blount, Fayette, Greene, Jefferson, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, and Walker counties in Central Alabama.

The severe threat is over for location west of a line from Aliceville to Jasper to Scottsboro, and dewpoints will begin to drop down from the upper 60s and lower 70s into the lower 60s and the upper 50s shortly.

Ahead of the line of storms, dewpoints are still running in the lower 70s with temperatures in the lower 70s as well. Instability is actually starting to drop a little bit out ahead of the line of storms (500-1500 J/kg) as dynamic support is starting to lift farther to the north. Helicity values are still rather high, so the threat is starting to lessen a little, but damaging winds and a brief spin-up tornado remains possible for at least the next couple of hours.
