#1: Birmingham Are: strong storms from Warrior to downtown to McCalla. Strongest storm is over downtown Birmingham. This storm has prompted a severe thunderstorm warning for the northern half of Jefferson County. Folks just south of the warning in places like Homewood are getting pounded as well. Areas from Mountain Brook to Liberty Park, Moody and Leeds can expect strong winds and hail. New warning coming for rest of Jefferson, SHelby and St. Clair.
