Severe storms extend from Cordova to Gorgas in Walker County to northeast of Tuscaloosa.
The NWS has added a new warning for more of Jefferson County.
It includes much of the western half of the county, from Adamville to Bessemer, eastward to include downtown Birmingham, Homewood and Hoover.
Potential is there for damaging winds and large hail.
