The NWS has extended the area of the Severe Thunderstorm Watch to include Bibb, Chambers, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Randolph, Shelby, Talladega, Tallapoosa [AL] till 9:00 AM CDT.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues for for Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Etowah, Fayette, Jefferson, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, St. Clair, Tuscaloosa, Walker, Winston [AL] till 9:00 AM CDT.
A new severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of Georgia and the Carolinas til 11 a.m. CDT.
There is rain cooled air behind the southward sagging line of storms,
This rain cooled air will set up a quasi-cool front, with additional storms developing along and south of this boundary through the day. Additional strong storms are over Mississippi and the will be moving eastward this morning.
