Thunderstorms continue to drop east southeastward across southern Tennessee. Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect ahead of the storms.
They will impact North Alabama Counties from Lauderdale on eastward starting in about an hour and a half.
In addition, showers and storms may start to form over Northwest Alabama shortly from Hamilton north to the Shoals and northeast to Huntsville.
The SPC has slightly expanded the severe weather risk area for today to include areas north of a line from Sulligent to Birmingham to Talladega to Rockford.
