It has been a fairly busy evening across North-Central Alabama. Showers and thunderstorms continue as we head into the overnight hours. There have been a few severe storms as expected this evening, with large hail and gusty winds. The more intense activity currently is southwest and southeast of Birmingham. No storms are currently severe, but some still appear to be packing a punch.
It would appear that the severe weather risk could be over with for the evening. Storms should continue to wind down over the next few hours.
