Well, well, here we are with another wet-weather system.

And, it is a slow-mover.

At 1 pm, most of the showers in Alabama were over the SW part, mainly in Mobile, Baldwin, Clarke and Washington County. Mostly light showers but moisture is streaming onshore from the Gulf of Mexico.

The main system is still over Louisiana and Mississippi where rainfall has been locally heavy. NWS, Jackson has a large number of Mississippi Counties under a flood watch through tonight. The whole complex is shifting slowly eastward.

Most of the rain for Alabama will be tonight and Tuesday. Good number of communities should get between one and two inches…and some more than two inches.

NOTE ABOUT AUTUMN COLOR: Be sure and scroll down and see the great scenes that Tom Randle photographed up the Paint Rock Valley and around Little River Canyon. I was determined to make that drive again up the Paint Rock Valley this autum but not gonna make it, Tis one of my very favorite drives.
