This is for those headed to Mobile to watch the Spain Park Jags take on Baker High School Friday (and possibly Saturday if a third game is necessary). The first game is Friday at 5:00 p.m… second game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

First off, there is a flash flood watch that is in effect for Mobile County from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon.

Keep in mind parts of Mobile and Baldwin Counties had over 10 inches of rain a week ago, so the ground is saturated, and part of the reason for the flash flood watch.

This is the simulated radar valid at 7:00 p.m. CT Friday….

There is a decent chance the first game Friday will be played with no rain, although a passing shower is certainly possible. An organized band of storms should move into Mobile sometime Friday night (this model run hints it might be around 8:00 or 9:00), so the second game might have issues with rain or thunderstorms, and a delay is very possible.

Temperatures Friday afternoon will peak in the mid 80s, falling into the 70s after sunset.

For Saturday, the day will be warm and humid, and there will be occasional showers and thunderstorms. But, on the positive side there will be some breaks in the rain, and a decent chance the third game (or a delayed second game) can be played. Too early to be specific on the timing of the rain Saturday. Temperatures Saturday will peak in the low to mid 80s in Mobile.
