Storms continue to weaken as they push further into the relatively stable air over Alabama tonight.

This is the best news I have heard in quite a while.

Many of our friends across the state are nervous and anxious about the weather and will be for quite some time to come.

The severe weather threat has been marginal tonight and is all but over now for the I-20 corridor and points north.

We could see a strong storm over South Central Alabama down toward the Selma and Montgomery areas overnight.

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Pickens has been canceled.

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues for Greene, Sumter Counties till May 14, 1:00 AM CDT.
