Strong storms are over Northwest Alabama and eastern Mississippi at this hour.

The strongest storms extend from south of Decatur to east of Double Springs to near Jasper. They have lots of lightning and heavy rain as well as gusty winds, but are not severe by definition.

Others are entering Pickens County and will move east northeast toward Tuscaloosa and eventually Birmingham.

Another storm near West Point MS will reach Lamar County just before 11 p.m.

The storms should be southeast of I-59 by 1 a.m. After that they should slowly weaken.
