RADAR CHECK: Scattered showers and storms are slowly increasing across Alabama this afternoon… some of the heaviest rain is falling across parts of Pickens, Tuscaloosa, and Bibb counties in West Alabama as I write this. The higher coverage of rain will be over the eastern half of the state, and there could be a rumble of thunder in spots.
