Showers Return; Lower Heat Levels
WATCHING THE GULF: A broad low in the Northeast Gulf of Mexico is drifting northward, and will push deeper moisture up into Alabama in coming days. Odds are fairly low (30 percent) this becomes a tropical or sub-tropical storm, but the impact will be same one way or another; higher rain chances for the Southeast U.S. this week and into the weekend. Dry Tomorrow; Rain Returns Thursday
REST OF THE WEEK: Tomorrow will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds; the high will be in the low 70s for most communities. Clouds thicken tomorrow night, and Thursday looks wet with occasional rain throughout the day. We won’t get out of the 60s Thursday due to clouds and rain. Then, on Friday, we expect some sun during the day, but a few showers are possible Friday afternoon and Friday evening ahead of an approaching cold front. Moisture will be pretty limited, and rain amounts should be light. Continue reading

Today will feature more clouds than sun for the northern half of the state, and we will maintain the chance of a few scattered showers as the upper low approaches. Nothing too heavy or widespread; the high this afternoon will be close to 70 degrees. Continue reading

Otherwise, today will be mostly cloudy with a high in the 60s. Continue reading
Showers Tomorrow; Much Colder In A Week Or So
