Yes, I’m heading out Thursday morning on a trip to Mt. Brianmore! With all due respect and a big apology to the stone president on the left, George Washington, my daughter and are are going to grab our digital cameras and go about five or six days of sightseeing and phototaking! We are planning to arrive on Sunday, April 18th. We are staying only 7 miles from the Mt. Rushmore memorial at a wonderful set of cabins in the deep woods. We plan to document our trip along the way with regular posts and some of our better shots.
Any trip west requires plenty of supplies, so we will be making a stop at the Mall of America to get all of our provisions. I already know there is an Apple store there just in case!

Already checking forecasts and it looks superb – lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s. Some thunderstorm warnings in Southwest South Dakota today, and I would not have any objections to a Plains storm while there.
