The intern lunch was great! It was definitely a road trip all the way to Billingsley, AL. As Brian Peters led the crew, he made a couple of abrupt stops to display such features as the sky cam in Clanton and also Sunshine Farms. As we departed out of the vehicle at Sunshine Farms all the interns were certain that we had reached the spot where they were planning to drop us off and leave us…probably to test our directional skills. Luckily, it was just for a traditional group photo in front of a peach tree. Then we took 15 minutes to listen to Spann speak about his beloved strawberries and strawberry season. At this time a sneaky bee was planning his attack! During the very moment of rolling out of Sunshine Farms a monstrous bee was crawling on Ashley B’s shirt. Scott Gunter heroically grabbed the bee with his bare hand and tossed it out the window. Although the bee stung Scott on contact Ashley B’s life was saved.

After about 20 minutes of life saving bee chatter and noisy stomachs, we arrived at Jim’s. I soon found out why James loves it so much. The food was so good! In the midst of our chowing down, we tried to soak up as much life long advice from James, J.B, and Brian as we could mentally digest. Such advice consisted of: the weather, jobs, and most importantly life in general. I’m sure I speak for all the interns in saying thanks for a wonderful experience, and I just hope I can remember and put the words to good use.
