An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player on the right sidebar of the blog. You can subscribe to the Weather Xtreme video on iTunes by clicking here.

WARMER WEATHER:  We’re starting out the day cold again, but this may be the last morning most of us drop below freezing for several days.  After highs yesterday in the mid 50s, warm air continued to move in aloft overnight, and with sunshine temperatures this afternoon will reach the mid 60s.  With a ridge of high pressure building into the Southeast, expect highs in the 60s through most of the week, and some places may hit 70.

RAIN?  Plenty of sunshine through tomorrow.  With weak upper-level disturbance, we may see a few clouds Tuesday, and partly cloudy skies late this week.  But, with the ridge ady dry air in place, rain is not likely this week.  Scattered showers are possible, with the best rain chance on Saturday, but rain coverage and amounts will be light, with only 1-2 hours of rain over the next 7 days.

10-14 DAYS: It looks like the warmer than normal weather will continue next week, but it may get rainier. Still no major shots of cold air.

WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 30 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including our meteorologists here at ABC 33/40.
