What could be a significant tornado is moving through western Jefferson County.
The storm has a TDS and very strong couplet.
Tornado reported on the ground at Powder Plant Rd.
It will pass near Hueytown and Pleasant Grove, Dolomite, Fairfield, Midfield, downtown, Woodlawn, and the Airport. It eventually could affect areas out into East Lake, Roebuck and possibly Trussville or Center Point.
A new tornado may be forming near Bessemer/McCalla. It could affect Shannon, Oxmoor and Homewood.
If you are in the warning, be close to your safe place and be ready to jump in it.
