Two severe storms in the Birmingham area now. This is an image of the BMX radar showing VIL, or vertically integrated liquid, which shows us where the hail is.
The right mover has turned more east northeast and is approaching Alabaster. It could have hail to the size of half dollars.
The left mover is between Homewood and Hoover. It will affect areas from Homewood to Mountain Brook to Liberty Park and Irondale. It is not quite as strong on recent volume scans, but still has a 100% chance of producing hail, perhaps to the size of pennies.
