Our line of storms extends from east of Double Springs to east of Carbon Hill to Berry to Gordo to Aliceville.
Winds will gust to 50-60 mph with some gusts over 70 mph. Widespread wind damage is likely with this line of storms. Trees and power lines will be downed.
Be very careful as this line approaches your area at a rapid rate of speed (60 mph). Be in a safe part of your home in case a tree should fall. It might be a good idea to leave mobile homes for safer structures.
Ahead of the line, winds are howling across the entire area. Winds are gusting as high as 50 mph even outside of storms. These winds will cause scattered tree and power line damage.
A severe thunderstorm warning was just issued for Cullman County.
A tornado warning is still in effect for northern Walker County, including Jasper.
A tornado watch continues for areas east of the line. The severe threat will end with the passage of the line, with the caveat that there could be some winds gusting to 50 mph for a while after the storms pass.
