After a very busy afternoon of weather across the northern part of the state, the severe weather threat is over for Alabama this evening. All showers and storms have pushed east into Georgia.

Throughout the afternoon, there was quite a bit of damage reported across the Tennessee Valley as trees, power lines, and even some structural damage occurred. The storms marched across the Tennessee Valley and then affected portions of East Alabama with damaging winds and hail. The rest of tonight, the weather should remain calm across Alabama.
