Everybody in the whole wide world is at the mall except me, so I will keep this short.

* 47 below zero was the temperature this morning at Faro in the Yukon of NW Canada.

* 45 below at Mayo, Yukon with a pressure of 30.96 inches (very high)

* 35 below at Rabbit Kettle in the Northwest Territory of Canada. That name intrigues me. You can depart Rabbit Kettle and go 230 miles by canoe on the Nahanni River and see some of the deepest river canyons in Canada. Not now, of course, it is frozen over.

* 45 mph wind gusts forecast for the Klondike Highway today and tonight, including Skagway, which will give a wind chill of 40 below zero.

* 41 below zero at Northway was one of the coldest temperatures in Alaska.

* 0 is how many sausage balls I had for Thanksgiving. That broke a record that had stood for 46 years.

* 0 is how many updates we have had from Goldwing Dave lately concerning his cessation of smoking. We sure hope he is on track, because he is quitting cold cow (or is it cold turkey). We wish him the best.

* 72 below zero was the temperature today at Summit, Greenland. That is the coldest temperature I have noticed in all of North America so far this season.

* 7 above zero was the low in the lower 48 states this morning at Ely, Nevada.

* 1054 millibars is the projected pressure in the middle of a high pressure area centered over Colorado by next Thursday morning. That is very strong for so early in the season. It will be pushing a major cold front through Alabama that same day probably bringing us our coldest weather so far this season.

* 0 is how many places I will go Christmas shopping today. Label me “chicken.”
