Strong storms are moving through northern Pickens, Lamar, northwestern Fayette and Marion Counties at this hour.

They aren’t severe yet, but do contain lots of lightning, brief heavy rain and strong gusty winds.

Keeping a close eye on the big storm moving toward Pickens County…it will be there before 6 p.m. and into northwestern Tuscaloosa County around 6:30 p.m. It looks like it could produce significant damaging winds. Be ready to move to safe shelter when warnings are issued.
