Not a great deal of change over the last few hours. Showers and some thunderstorms continue to spread eastward into the northern and west-central part of the state from Mississippi.
Some stronger thunderstorms that developed over Central Mississippi were moving into West Alabama’s Marion and Lamar Counties. They were moving NE and will affect Fayette and Winston Counties later. Other showers were scattered over other North and NE Alabama counties.
So far, no warnings.
The Storm Prediction Center continues most of Alabama under a slight risk for today.

Pleasant dry weather for tomorrow and Friday.
SATURDAY
A more significant risk of severe weather in Alabama on Saturday. We will be more specific about that as the event gets closer.
RAINFALL
Two of the heavier amounts in the last 24 hours included 0.81 at Mobile Regional Airport and 0.91 at Brookley Field just south of downtown Mobile. Based on doppler estimates, over an inch of rain has fallen this morning in NW Marion County and part of South Franklin County.
