Rain and storms are heavy at this hour over extreme eastern Shelby and Talladega Counties, with more storms forming over extreme northern Coosa County.
Lots of heavy rain and lightning between Columbiana and Talladega.
This activity will push north northwest into extreme eastern Jefferson and across much of St. Clair Counties.
Moderate rain continues now over St. Clair, entering Blount and Etowah Counties.
Moderate rain also continues over Tennessee Valley of North Alabama.
The good news is the the rain has been light over western sections of Jefferson County, where there are events at Tannehill and in Bibb County. The rain has also lifted north of Regions Park in Hoover.
