Late tonight there was a diminishing line of showers extending all the way from Decatur and Moulton southward to near Cullman, Birmingham and Centreville. It was an irregular line and part of the showers were trailing behind through Western Walker County and Winston County.
The showers have diminshed greatly and almost all of the lightning has ceased.
These showers will continue to slowly diminish, but between midnight and 1:00 a.m. they should advance as far east as Huntsville, Guntersville, Ashville and Talladega.
Meanwhile, there is another line of showers and a few thunderstorms that are heavier down across North Mississippi between Tupelo and Oxford and to near US-82 around Winona. These, too, are moving toward the east. It is uncertain if they will still hold up to give us any rain here in Central Alabama long past midnight.
Unless conditions change, this will probably be our last update for the evening.
