Rain has diminished over eastern Jefferson County at this hour, but heavy rain was massing to the south over Shely County. This rain was east of Calera at this hour, but it will be moving NNW over Shelby and Jefferson Counties, in areas that received very heavy rain earlier last evening.
The situation will be monitored.

Leeds [Jefferson Co, AL] amateur radio reports FLASH FLOOD at 01:35 AM CDT — water is beginning to recede but roads remain closed with some cars still stranded in the leeds area.
