In the vast ocean of humidity, scattered showers and thunderstorms were increasing this afternoon over South Alabama. By far, the more numerous ones were over SE Alabama from South Montgomery County down into SE Alabama, SW Georgia and part of North Florida. It was pouring rain west of Troy and also parts of Coffee, Covington, Dale and Henry Counties. The storms were moving toward the ESE this afternoon.
Over the north half of the state, only a few isolated showers or storms so far. One of those was developing over North Shelby County and another one NW of Jasper in Walker County.
We will watch them as the afternoon goes on.
