Heaviest rain in the state at 3:45 was over Autauga County NW of Montgomery.
A thunderstorm was dumping heavy rain there and some of it may spread into SW Chilton County later.
Way down south, other heavier rain was over Crenshaw and Coffee County.
Over North Central Alabama, showers were widely spaced and generally moderate in intensity. Everything was moving slowly NW.
WAY FAR AWAY–A SUMMER SNOW
Would you believe that a Snow and Blowing Snow Advisory has been in effect today for some areas of West Montana. NWS/Great Falls reports that 9 inches of snow has fallen on Half Moon Pass in the Big Snowy Mountains.
In NW Wyoming, these new fresh snow amounts:
10 inches at Shell Creek and Bald Mountain
6 inches on Bone Springs Divide
9 inches on Spring Creek Divide
8 inches on Blind Bull Summit
7 inches at Indian Creek
15 inches at Evening Star
14 inches at Black Water
Please excuse me for wandering so far away. I am fascinated by weather extremes.
