Two big storms across Central Alabama right now.
One is crossing over I-65 just north of downtown Birmingham. It is moving northeast toward Tarrant, Centerpoint, Pinson and Clay. Pea sized hail was reported in McCalla at 7:50 p.m. Half inch hail was reported at Bessemer at 8:11 p.m.
The other is near Greensboro in Hale County. It will move northeast up AL-35 brushing western Perry County and moving into southwestern Bibb County eventually. This storm has a history of producing large hail to the size of baseballs. The warning for Hale, Marengo and Perry Counties was allowed to expire however.
Be alert and in shelter as these storms approach…they will contain intense lightning, torrential rains, hail and the potential for daaging winds.
