NWS/Huntsville issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for North Central Jackson County in Extreme NE Alabama until 4:15. (The warning is also for the adjacent portions of South Franklin County in Tennessee.
The thunderstorm was along the Alabama/Tennessee border and moving east.
ELSEWHERE
Practiclly no showers or storms within a 40 mile radius of Birmingham at 4 pm but scattered storms were increasing over South Central and SW Alabama. The best concentration was from South perry County across Marengo, Choctaw, Clarke and South Sumter County.
Other storms, more widely spaced were over Chilton, Coosa, Elmore and Bullock.
Most of the storms were moving slowly NE.
