There are plenty of showers and storms out there.
One of the best concentrations is over northeastern Jefferson County, from Gardendale to Pinson to Trussville. A good bit of lightning now around the Airport, Tarrant and Roebuck. Moving northeast. We have moderate rain here just south of downtown Trussville.
Storms are fairly concentrated up I-59 from Birmingham to Fort Payne.
A cluster of strong storms was moving northward through Lawrence County in Northwest Alabama.
More storms were over Sumter, Hale and Perry Counties in West Central Alabama.
Storms will continue through the afternoon and evening hours.
